*in some rare cases, they may instead be trained as therapists — see individual information for more detail.
Steph has worked with thousands of groups and designed and delivered more than twenty advanced training programs in the leadership and conflict transformation fields growing capacity in individuals and groups to solve challenges together. Steph sees a world where a new kind of leader is needed, willing to have really tough conversations about the things that matter most. When leaders show up with fierce courage, open-hearts and a deep commitment to integrity, groups can move from stuck to possible. Steph believes that brave, honest conversations are how we solve the challenges in our world, together.
Steph has some core beliefs that guide her work:
*I believe that leadership in brave, honest conversations is grown and that it takes time, learning and effort to expand skills, knowledge and ability to effectively work with others.
*I know that people are not born knowing how to have these kinds of conversations, and that it takes experience and effort to talk about the stuff that really matters, and do it well.
*I have learned that work in the conversational space is complex, nuanced and messy – because you are dealing with people, their values and emotions, and following a linear, simple path often gets you to the wrong destination.
*I know that mastery and leadership in brave, honest conversations require a mix of skills, knowledge, attitudes and behaviors, honed by years of practice and experience to do it well and continuously learn from the experience.
*I am committed to supporting organizations to grow their capacity in brave, honest conversations so they can build cultures that are courageous, compassionate, connected and focused on growth and learning.
