Linda often works with individuals who are highly valued for their subject matter expertise – they have mastered their “craft” – and now need to hone their leadership skills. Often these individuals are being asked to pivot their thinking and way of working to move from “doer” to team or business unit lead, requiring a broader set of skills, capabilities, and perspectives. Examples include:
SVP, Digital Media Technology responsible for starting up a new business unit with a new P&L within a holding company and multi-agency structure. Result: Navigated the politics of a matrix organization with competing incentives. Managed negotiations by anticipating reactions and sensitive areas.
Newly promoted SVP, Delivery Management responsible for managing a large extended team and transitioning into senior leadership role. Result: Understood the impact of her communication style and leadership approach on the team and other key stakeholders and fine-tuned it for each audience to create increased trust, engagement and partnership.
As a coach, Linda brings a unique ability to quickly understand an individual’s role and relationships within the organization, gain the client’s trust and provide coaching that can immediately be applied. She has helped her clients with: communication skills, conflict management, organizational landscape issues, business stakeholder management, and leadership and management skills.
“Linda made the effort to understand the operating constructs I was working in, so the work we did was within context. I was able to learn in real time.”
“She helped me reframe the battle by changing my perspective. I found compassion for my adversary and broke the cycle that day.”
“I stopped wasting time and energy on things that I wasn’t aligned with – I became more connected to myself and developed more clarity, curiosity, openness, presence, the skill of detachment and a willingness to suspend judgment.”
Her work spans a number of different industries and types of organizations – financial services, advertising, media, marketing, high-tech, bio-tech, retail, engineering and construction, management consulting, and non-profits. In all of Linda’s work, she brings humor, compassion and patience while “telling it like it is.”
